In fact, manufacturers can produce 100% organic and natural skin care products without using synthetic and petroleum based materials. However, most businesses emphasize on profit rather than safety at the end of the day.

To find out whether your skin care products are truly organic or not, check the ingredients on the label. They should not contain petroleum bases and artificial fragrances. Harsh chemicals such as formaldehyde, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), olefin sulfonate, cocamidopropyl betaine, and paraben can irritate your skin.

Make sure that the labels have the certification logos from the ACO, USDA, BFA, and IFOAM. These independent bodies certify that the contents in the skin care products are truly natural and organic.
