Here are some tips for acne blemish control. You can prevent blemish by keeping the pores clear.

  • Get plenty of fresh air and sunshine for vitamin D, which is good for your skin. Not only will your skin receives the vitamin D, your body and mind will enjoy the oxygen and stress reducer of a daily outdoor trips. However, do not overdo it and get sunburn! Always use sunscreen if you plan to be in the sun for a long time. Stay too long under the sun can lead to accumulation of dead skin cells, which block pores. This will lead to acne.
  • Drink plenty of fluid every day. If you do not drink enough water, then your body will dehydrate. Dehydration causes your body to shed the dead skin cells unnaturally. As a result, your pores become clogged.
  • Dirt cannot cause acne. Therefore, do not over-wash or over-scrub your face, which can dry up your skin. In addition, dry skin will trigger the sebaceous glands to make more oil, which block the pores.
  • Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts. Brazil nuts and pumpkin seeds do not have enough selenium and zinc which are important for acne blemish control. Therefore, add salads, dried fruit and nut snacks, juices and other healthy treats to your daily diet.
  • Reduce the consumption of caffeine, sugar, and refined carbohydrates. Some studies reveal that caffeine can magnify your stress, which aggravate the acne conditions. Sugar and carbohydrates encourage the production of insulin. This can lead to an excess of male hormones that stimulate skin to discharge lots of sebum.
  • Eat less of red meat and dairy products. Your body cannot digest animal protein. This causes an incomplete process of waste materials, which clog the pores. Animal proteins also contain high levels of hormones that can cause acne.
